For nearly 20 years, he has been advising entrepreneurs, French and foreign private equity funds as well as large industrial investors, medium-size companies and startups in the context of their strategic corporate finance operations (buyout, assets disposal, mergers, spin-offs, fund raising, management package, build-up, etc.) and/or restructuring actions (joint-ventures, commercial alliances, group reorganizations, carve-outs, etc.).
Before joining the DTMV law firm, Thibaut developed his professional experience within several leading French and US law firms, including Veil Jourde and Jones Day, and gained significant experience in the mining and energy sectors by acting as the Deputy General Legal Counsel of the EDF engineering and production department during a 9-month secondment.
In addition to his professional activity, Thibaut lectures for the Corporate Law LLM program of the Aix-Marseille University, holds an MBA (McGill University) and obtained the Paris Bar Exam and a post-graduate degree in Private Law (Toulouse University).
Thibaut is also a member of the Board of Directors of the international not-for-profit organization SOS Sahel whose mission is to improve the food security, nutrition and living conditions of rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
